Day 787

Worked on the file search & display, which had become a DOS shell rather than a text editor intro - the last thing a minimal text editor needs is a file display. It edits what you tell it to, no more.

Nothing but D-Day commemorations on telly, quite stirring though. I objected to the bringing in of the Falklands adventure which was an election exercise and no struggle against fascism.

M came round at 9pm and we talked for half an hour and drank to my success.

And so: the end of an era. Because if I last more than about 3 days, my chance of another job doubles because of the experience and references. Cash'll come in handy too.
