Signed on without too much hassle, had a look in the library. River very high and thrusting at the pillar of the viaduct. Inquired as to the fare to Stratford at the station - £5.70.

The Bywater angle does seem to have come to an end, or at least a state of extreme attenuation, with so long since M left. All the more reason to move on. Rang up about a career development loan - might inspire me.
