Cold, wet and windy. Rode into town to the libe, got a couple of go-ahead American careers books, the sort that make you feel worse after you've read them because you daren't try what they suggest.

Got another thousand words of diss done. I'm quite pleased with the progress I've made since I got properly started. For light relief, rewrote that QBasic LISP expression evaluator in QuickC - worked first time, no trouble. Pleasing.

Put a Diana Profitometer on my Geocities web site to show how much interest she's made on the divorce settlement (all in Javascript) and suggest better uses for the money.

Last night watched QED about happiness. It mentioned in passing that smiling voluntarily only generates happiness if you smile fully, involving eye muscles etc. It works too! It's the most fun you can have on your own.
