Day 1597

Rained all night and all morning. Then it suddenly brightened up with strong wind, sun and small cumulus. Usually we don't get this extended rain till September, so it's come a week or so early.

Made extensive project notes; made a breakthrough in understanding how SK combinators act as steering agents at graph nodes. My book about The Roman War Machine arrived.

Also made good progress with Java, swiftly working out how to get a graphics context. I need a good editor that can recognise long filenames.

Might give Dombey & Son a carry-on later.
